The Erie Community Library is joining forces with the Erie Community Center to showcase local Community Champions. This enlightening series on local non-profit organizations and the work they are doing will be held at the Erie Community Center, Mitchell Room, 450 Powers Street.  Please join Ellen Miller with Passing Hats to learn about this non-profit and be a part of this heart and head warming program by making a loomed hat to pass on. All supplies provided; no experience necessary.

    Reasons why women's economic clout is growing; the unique financial challenges women face, such as longer life expectancies and more career breaks for care giving, and how they impact long-term financial security; six steps women can take to help them achieve financial security, including taking control of their money, becoming more knowledgeable investors, advocating for themselves in the workplace, planning for retirement, protecting their income and assets, and creating an estate plan.     Local History Series - Crazy Horse

    Edward Wilson will present the story of The Crazy Horse Ride is an annual event held in honor of Tašúŋke Witkó, Chief Crazy Horse, and all veterans. The ride begins in Fort Robinson State Park, NE, and goes over four days to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota, home of the Oglala Lakotas. #ErieHistory #Erie
