16th Annual Erie Town Fair & Balloon Festival

The Annual Erie Town Fair is the Chamber’s largest event of the year.  The Historic Downtown hosts over 200 craft and food vendors.  Performances on stage at the Coal Creek Ball Park offer a variety of entertainment by local groups.  Garage Rats Car Club hosts the annual Car Show attracting more than 60 cars and trucks.  Traditional carnival games continue throughout the day at the Coal Creek Park.  Hot Air Balloons launch at 6:15 am, weather permitting, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  The launching is open to the public.  “Crew” volunteers for the balloons are always welcomed.

6:00-9:15 FACE: All Vocal Rock Band

Using just 5 singers and a vocal drummer or "beat-boxer," Face creates a rock-music phonomenon that has to be seen to be believed.

 May 7, 2012 — vendor applications due.

 After May 7, 2012, a $20 late fee will be applied to all registrations

 

  Weather Information

  The Fair is held regardless of weather. Balloon & aviation activities are the only events cancelled  due to weather. No fees will be refunded.

Things you need to know

 



Liability

The Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Erie are not liable for any injury or damages to your booth or at your booth.

 

Booths are not insured by the Erie Chamber or the Town of Erie

 

The Erie Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to refuse any booths or shut down

any booths the day of the event. The sale of toy guns, silly string, exploding caps, disappearing ink, stink bombs, fake cigarettes, swords, knives, illegal weapons, any projectile items or any other items deemed inappropriate for minors or by the Erie Chamber of Commerce is strictly prohibited. Booth operators offering these items for sale will be asked to leave their booth immediately with no refund given.  The Erie Police Department will be enforcing this with no exceptions.

 



Hours 

 Setup hours:      6:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

 Booth hours:     10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 *If you are not set up by 9:30 a.m., you risk losing your booth space

 

 



Booth Specifications

  • No tables, chairs or awnings are provided.
  • Sandbags, cement buckets or the equivalent ARE required in securing your tents.  If you do not provide these safety features, you will NOT be allowed to set-up.
  • Staking is allowed ONLY in grass areas.
  • Electricity is limited to certain locations: Moffat and Briggs sides only.  Vendors must supply their own extension cords and pay electrical costs.
  • Exclusivity is reviewed on a case by case basis. There is a fee for exclusivity if approved.
  • All booth vendors MUST clean booth areas before leaving.  All trash MUST be placed in receptacles. 
  • No one is allowed to walk the streets passing out
  • information or selling products.

 

 



Taxes

 Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all applicable sales tax to the State. For additional information, please go on-line at www.colorado.gov/revenue

 

            Colorado:          2.9 percent

            Town of Erie:     3.5 percent
