1. Tell us about your business:
As a mortgage banker, I have a passion for making people’s dreams of homeownership come true. My career has always been driven by one principle – helping people. Mortgages are not one size fits all, and I love creating tailored mortgage solutions for my clients that fit their needs and goals. From first-time buyers to experienced real estate investors, I pride myself in assisting with my client’s individual needs. With the wide array of Conventional, FHA, VA and Portfolio loan programs First National Bank has to offer, I am ready to find the best home loan fit for you. My goal is to be your lender for life.
2. When, Why and How did you start your business:
I have been in the banking industry since 2003, and I’ve been in the mortgage side of banking since 2009. I love the mortgage industry because every day and every loan is different. My biggest reason for loving what I do would have to be the smiles at the closing table. I love having a lifelong impact on my clients’ lives, helping them start their next chapter. First National Bank has been family owned for over 160 years and operates with the philosophy of putting its clients first. We are truly a “great big, small bank” – large enough to provide the full range of financial products and services, yet small enough to know you personally.I am proud to be a part of such a wonderful, community-minded organization.
3. Give us an example of a time you went above and beyond to provide good customer service:
I consistently take the “team approach” by keeping all lines of communication open between all real estate agents involved.Communication gets us to closing, and I am committed to providing the best possible communication to make your mortgage fast, easy and yes…even fun.
Purchasing a home is one of the biggest financial decisions of your life – I don’t take that lightly. My commitment is to update my clients every step of the way so they are never wondering or worrying. Moving is hard enough, your mortgage shouldn’t be.
4. Give us an example of a time when an Erie-based business went above and beyond to provide you with great customer service:
Recently, First National Bank had the pleasure of volunteering with a local nonprofit, Erie UpLink. Although they are technically not a business, but a nonprofit organization, the way they run their fundraising and community outreach programs is nothing short of amazing. Lisa, the co-founder, put us right to work stuffing Tiger Packs for the school children of Erie. It was incredibly rewarding knowing that we were able to contribute to the great things Erie Uplink is doing in the community. We are truly lucky to have them as a part of our town.
5. Where is your favorite place to eat in Erie?
There are so many great places, so this is a hard one! I would have to say Lazy Dog. We love brunch out on the patio there. The views are amazing! But, if we’re in Old Town, it has to be the Old Mine. A great bar connected to an ice cream shop for the kids, GENIUS! Nothing better!
6. Tell us about a chamber event you found memorable – and why:
My favorite chamber event is hands down Country Christmas and Parade of Lights. That event showcases the best part of Erie, the great sense of community we have. Plus, our very own Penny the Pig loves being in the parade and putting smiles on everyone’s faces.
7. What do you do in your free time?
Free time? With three very young boys, I don’t have much. But, when we do, we love to get out and explore. Whether that’s a trip to the mountains or a walk down Briggs Street, we always try to make fun little adventures and memories together as a family.
8. What’s something few people know about you?
My wife and I were engaged 2 months after we met, and we’ve now been married 10 years. When you know you know!
9. How has the chamber benefited you?
Through the Chamber, I have gained so many meaningful connections, relationships and friendships. Living, working and being a part of this community is great. Erie Rocks!
10. What have you discovered about Erie that has pleasantly surprised you?
My wife and I were really surprised by how many great community events there are – especially in the summer. We love the weekly Farmers Market, Concerts in the Park and Boo on Briggs, just to name a few. We love that we live in a community where we can go to these fun events and make traditions with our family that will continue for years to come.
